Rotary District Conference 2020 to be held at ITC Royal Kolkata on 11th and 12th of January. Each year, district holds a conference for club members so they can learn about what’s happening in Rotary and their district and meet other Rotarians in the area. This is the Conference has special meaning as District 3291 and Rotary in India commemorates its Centenary year. Aahvaan District conference 2020 is monumental as we celebrate complketion of 100 years of Rotary in India and Rotary District 3291
The conference usually lasts two days and includes:
• A visit from a Rotary International President’s representative, who gives an update on Rotary International and inspires and motivates participant Rotarians
• A report on the district, including its successes and challenges
• An official business meeting to discuss and vote on important district matters
• Local and international speakers giving information on topics relevant to district members
• Time to network, reconnect with friends, and find inspiration for continuing service and community leadership

RIPN Shekhar Mehta highlighted . The goals set by the Presidents and the District team will provide service to the community with projects worth more than Rs 200 crores. This is unprecedented. But it surely is worthy of the 100th year of one the premier districts of Rotary in India. These projects will benefit more than 1 million people in the areas of focus.
Rotary District Governer Rtn Ajay Agarwal has decided to celebrate 100th year of Rotary in Kolkata and India with even larger Contribution of Rotary district 3291 to society.He said ‘ We are midway into the rotary year and he has made a “Aahvaan” the call to review reinvent and rejuvenate for next 100years of Rotary”
Rtn Ajay Agarwal District Governor Rotary District 3291 pointed out clean drinking water to villages, bring dignity by creating rural toilets, will empower people by providing cycle rickshaw vans, will heal-little hearts as well as aging eyes , will provide great relief to renal patients through the dialysis centres. These projects will help educate and make literate thousands of children and adults.
Our world leader Mark Daniel Maloney addresses the very essence of Rotary with the theme – Rotary Connects The World, and CONNECTION lies at the heart of our collective strength. In 2019-20, I most humbly have pledged to uphold the CONNECT that we hold so dear, and I trust, ‘Aahwaan ‘ The District Conference 2020 well further strengthen the same.
