Pearson India, the digital learning company, today announced the launch of an adaptive English language improvement program – Pearson MePro– to aid learners enhance their English language proficiency. Based on the Global scale of English (GSE), the new-age comprehensive English Language Training program will provide content and assessment for learning and development of English language skills including Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing, Vocabulary and Grammar. The online program will further help in developing accuracy and communication ability, essential for studying abroad and desired career growth through better employment opportunities.
Aligned with the company’s vision to strengthen lifelong learning and career progression, Pearson MePro offers personalized content and industry specific learning outcomes measured against Global Scale of English (GSE) and Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) levels. The self-paced, online learning program engages learner with world-class content through role-plays, simulations, virtual reality scenarios and live sessions which are academic and work-related. To encourage practical learning, a first-of-its-kind adaptive English learning module adapts to each learner’s level of proficiency and provides a learner-centric, professional and academic theme-based courseware that helps them become language proficient. Designed in a structured manner the skill-based courseware provides periodic assessments and allows learners to begin their language mastering journey by taking a diagnostic test which maps their current language proficiency level and start the course to master the global language of employability.

Built on relevant learning outcomes on the Global Scale of English (GSE) framework, Pearson MeProevaluates learners on a GSE scale to demonstrate their progress and provide
certificate and recognized digital badges to help them connect with real-world jobs. Based on research involving over 6000 teachers from more than 50 countries, GSE extends the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) and uses granular approach to rate learners on a scale of 10 to 90 within a CEFR level. It is the first truly global English language standard that allows teachers to more accurately and easily measure learner progress across the four skills – speaking, listening, reading and writing.
